Cleveland, OH – Nov. 25, 2019 – Ohio’s oldest and largest annual boat show has just become bigger and better than ever, with the addition of its exciting new Fishing Expo presented by Fisherman’s Central. This year’s show will essentially be two shows in one, with boat enthusiasts and Ohio anglers converging in the show’s newly expanded space at the I-X Center. Boat lovers will be surrounded by more than 400 new boats, including everything from power and sailboats to million-dollar motor yachts. Anglers will find one-stop-shopping with a variety of major tackle and equipment displays. With a generous offering of kid-friendly events, this year’s show is one for the whole family to enjoy. Why not give your loved ones the gift of the Progressive Cleveland Boat Show & Fishing Expo this holiday season?

The all-new Fishing Expo will include displays from the likes of presenting sponsor, Fisherman’s Central, Holy Mackeral, Fisherman’s Warehouse and other local retailers. Anglers will enjoy great fishing features like: The Berkley 5000-Gallon Bass Aquarium with noted speakers like Dan Armitage; fishing in the all-new Trout Fishing Pond with angling champion Jim Vitaro; competing in a Kids’ Casting Challenge in the new Casting Lake; fighting a Marlin on the Sportfishing Simulator; trying their hand at fly fishing; learning about Kayak Fishing at the Kayak Stage; attending the new hands-on Tackle/Rigging Academy; learning from pros daily at the Buckeye Sports Fishing Theater, and much more.

“There currently isn’t a good fishing show in northern Ohio. Now there will be,” explains Michelle Burke, LEMTA president. “Statistically, 70 percent of all boats are used for fishing at least some of the time, while 38 percent are used primarily for fishing. So, it’s a natural extension of our boat show to add a complete Fishing Expo.”

Of course, the main attraction at this year’s show will be the impressive display of some of the most sought-after boats on the market. The Progressive Cleveland Boat Show traditionally features more than 400 power and sailboats ranging from small paddle boards and fishing skiffs to luxurious pontoon boats and million-dollar motor yachts. It is Ohio’s oldest and largest boat show, and it will also include a Lyman Boat Works Historical Museum display, a Sailing Center, Go Dive Now Pool Scuba Diving experience, multiple hands-on children’s activities, and much, much more!

The Lake Erie islands atmosphere will come alive at the boat show with the Lake Erie Shores & Islands new theme area. It will feature iconic exhibits from Put-in-Bay, Twin Oast and more. Daily musical entertainment by popular islands musicians, beer from the 60-acre Twin Oast Farm and, of course, the island’s iconic Lobster Bisque fresh daily from the Boardwalk are just a couple of highlights. And, for fun, get involved in a special Scavenger Hunt staged by Lake Erie Shores & Islands.
